Inspire next generation leaders

Innovation Fund in Experiential Learning

UNBC’s small class sizes, geographic location and integration with the communities it serves provide unparalleled opportunities to link experience with education and ready students for real-life problem-solving after graduation.

Environmental Planning Students

Your support will help expand the number and types of hands-on courses available to undergraduate students, ensuring they are well-prepared for real-life leadership.

UNBC Northern Transitions Program

Serving communities scattered throughout a region nearly the size of France, UNBC knows first-hand the unique geographic and cultural challenges faced by many Northern B.C. students, particularly those from First Nations communities. UNBC’s Northern Transitions Program helps more than 20 students a year make the transition to university life.

Your support will help more rural and First Nations students experience success.

Scholarship and Bursary Growth

One out of every four students studying at UNBC benefits from a financial award recognizing excellence or helping offset needs. An offer of a scholarship or a bursary is often an important deciding factor for a student considering enrolment at UNBC.

Gen Z Future Leaders Programs

Young people make choices that influence their post-secondary educational pathways and career trajectories long before they finish high school. And the evidence shows that once a potential student experiences one of our university campuses, they are more likely to choose UNBC.

Active minds summer camp

That’s why we are reaching out to inspire young minds about the rich and rewarding experiences and learning opportunities that UNBC can provide early on in their journeys. Within this growing suite of programs is Active Minds, where each summer more than 300 kids between 6 and 16 participate in 24 different science camps.

Your contributions can ensure more young people the opportunity to experience UNBC at an early age, and discover pathways that lead them back.

Timberwolves Athletics

With four soccer and basketball teams performing in the highest level of amateur sport in Canada, the UNBC Timberwolves foster community pride and attract high-performance student-athletes. Great teams are created by great communities, and we invite private support to strengthen each and every UNBC Timberwolf and all four teams.

UNBC Opportunity Fund (Unrestricted)

Being responsive to new opportunities gives UNBC, as a small university, the flexibility to offer new programs and enhance the student experience. Unrestricted donations supported Syrian refugees arriving in Canada as UNBC students, provided matching gifts to inspire new donations, and allowed the piloting of the successful Undergraduate Experiential Service Learning Program.

Be part of future successes with your gift to the UNBC Opportunity Fund!
