English Language Studies

The English Language Studies Program is designed to improve students' Academic English skills while promoting cultural exchange, academic success, and personal growth.  Our experienced instructors are here to focus on improving your speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, while encouraging critical thinking and academic integrity.

Graduates of the English Language Studies program will also earn up to 15 academic credits, which is equal to 6 academic courses!


Enter UNBC through E​LS

ELS is a great way to begin your academic journey at UNBC. Students who complete the ELS program will have met the English language proficiency requirements for admission to UNBC's degree programs. 

When applying to ELS you can also apply to one of UNBC's degree programs and then receive conditional acceptance. This means that once you have completed ELS you can immediately begin studying at UNBC.

Applying to ELS at UNBC is a quick and easy process. Please review the instructions and fees in the following links, complete your ELS Application and send it to our offices with the required documents. Short Term Programs

English Language Studies coordinates short term programs for universities, colleges and private institutions. These courses are customized to the needs of each program and are designed for a minimum of 12 students. Courses combine formal classroom instruction with various social and cultural activities.
