I am an Asso­ciate Pro­fes­sor in the Depart­ment of Math­e­mat­ics and Sta­tis­tics at the Uni­ver­si­ty of North­ern British Colum­bia.

My research inter­ests are in Num­ber The­o­ry, Mod­u­lar Forms, Half-Inte­gral Weight Mod­u­lar Forms, Cen­tral Val­ues of Auto­mor­phic L‑Functions and Rankin-Sel­berg Con­vo­lu­tions. For more details, see my pub­li­ca­tions page.

My research is sup­port­ed by NSERC Dis­cov­ery Grant “Spe­cial Val­ues of L‑functions” (2018–2023).

I am also one of the lead col­lab­o­ra­tors on the PIMS-fund­ed Col­lab­o­ra­tive Research Group: L‑functions in Ana­lyt­ic Num­ber The­o­ry (2022–2025).

I am one of the orga­niz­ers of the PIMS CRG Inclu­sive Paths in Explic­it Num­ber The­o­ry sum­mer school hap­pen­ing at UBC‑O July 2–15, 2023.

Brief Biography

I received my MSc in Math­e­mat­ics from the Amer­i­can Uni­ver­si­ty of Beirut in August 2007 with Kamal Khuri-Mak­disi. In May 2013, I grad­u­at­ed from The Uni­ver­si­ty of British Colum­bia with a PhD in pure Math­e­mat­ics. My PhD super­vi­sor was Nike Vat­sal. After that, I spent two years at Queen’s Uni­ver­si­ty as a Cole­man Post­doc­tor­al Fel­low work­ing with Ram Mur­ty. From August 2015 until July 2017, I was a PIMS Post­doc­tor­al Fel­low at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Leth­bridge work­ing with Amir Akbary, Habi­ba Kadiri and Nathan Ng.
