Geography Field Schools
The Geography program at UNBC offers innovative, high-quality learning experiences for UNBC students and students outside the university through our Geography Field School courses.
We regularly offer students the opportunity to participate in field schools that are held in intriguing locations in Canada (in the Rockie Mountains and the Quesnel River Research Centre near Likely, BC) and around the world, including Guatemala, Peru, South Africa, and Death Valley (US).
Students learn in a wide range of settings using different methods including lectures and seminars, dry labs, wet labs, and data capture in the field. Our field schools enable students to apply field methods in both physical and human geography toward an integrated study of local and global environments.
