Inspiring Women Among Us (IWAU) is an annual series of events and celebrations held at UNBC that lead up to the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women on December 6.

IWAU features a variety of free events that are open to all genders and that celebrate women’s contributions to Canadian and global societies.

We discuss ways that society can support our female colleagues, friends and family members, as well as other politically marginalized groups and individuals among us.

IWAU was started in 2015 by Dr. Zoë Meletis and Dr. Annie Booth. The event is made possible with the help of an amazing array of volunteers, community partners, and other contributors.
