This popular international event brings the community together to celebrate the diversity of our campus through speakers, dialogue, entertainment, crafts and food.

All events are free (except the Lunch Samplers). Everyone is welcome.

Hijab for a Day

Do you know your hijab history? Why, when and where is it worn? The Muslim Student Association/Islamic Relief Club will answer all your questions and even set you up to wear one! 


Turban Up!

10:00am – 2:00pm
Local Sikh Temple, Guru Nanak Darbar brings this popular and informative “try a turban” event to UNBC. Learn about the cultural importance of the Sikh turban and try one on too! 


Carve with Clayton Gauthier - UNBC Artist in Residence

Join Clayton as he carves and shares the Indigenous traditions behind The Cedar Plank Project - feel free to pick up a carving knife yourself (under Clayton’s creative supervision!)   


Model UN
Register in advance for this fun and interactive debate!

Participants will be assigned a country to represent on the issues below. The goal is to collaborate with fellow delegates and create a resolution that can be approved by all “countries!”

1.  Armed Drone Proliferation Debate

Participants do not have to be political science or global and international studies majors to enjoy Model UN – any student with an interest in foreign policy and international relations will enjoy this event!
