PICS Theme Partnership Program

Supports interdisciplinary teams of BC researchers and climate solution decision-makers (from the private and public sector) with the vision and ambition for achieving high-impact climate change solutions, whose research involves particularly complex-and critically important-climate mitigation and apaptation challenges. 

Projects will be funded to a maximum of $250,000 per year, for up to four years. At least 50% of the funding must be spent to support graduate students or post-doctoral fellows. 

Application involves a two-phase review process beginning with a letter of intent (LOI) submitted by a full-time faculty member from a PICS supported university. Selected candidates are then invited to complete a full proposal

External LOI Deadline: February 14, 2020

Applications must be received in the Office of Research a minimum of 5 business days in advance of the application deadline. Applications must be submitted to the Office of Research via Romeo. Please allow enough time for Chair and Dean approval.
