Everyone is invited to attend the Brown Bag Lunch on September 27, 2018 from 12:15pm – 1:00pm.

We are delighted to have Nick Chng, Medical Physicist, BC Cancer – Centre for the North present on:

Clinical Applications of AI in Radiation Oncology and Physics:
Following the success of machine learning approaches in image classification, there has been renewed interest in applying these and other “AI-like” methods in radiation oncology, physics and radiation therapy. I’ll try to describe how popular algorithms like convolution neural networks (CNNs) and Bayesian networks operate, and how they can help to automate tasks like target contouring and treatment planning. I’ll also discuss some of the new commercial products that are currently available in this domain.

Three ways to attend:

In person:
• Learning & Development Centre at UHNBC, Prince George, Room 0505
