We are excited to announce that the IDC Research Days and Northern Health Quality Conference have merged into one conference.

The 2018 Northern BC Research & Quality Conference is taking place November 6-8, 2018 in Prince George, BC at the Prince George Civic Center. The theme for this year is "Engaging Partners in Healthcare Improvement".

The objectives of the conference are to:
  • Celebrate and share research, quality improvement, evaluation, and implementation of evidence in a northern and rural context
  • Support the development of research, quality improvement, evaluation, and evidence-informed practice skills
  • Facilitate networking and knowledge sharing
  • Inspire new ideas and encourage diverse partnerships and broaden the involvement of different stakeholders invested in the health of northerners.

We are excited to have Dr. Shimi Kang as our Keynote speaker on November 7th.  Dr. Kang is an award-winning Harvard-trained medical doctor, researcher, and expert on the science of innovation, leadership and wellness. She provides science based tools for health, happiness, and achievement in the workplace, classroom, and at home.

On November 8th  Dr. Francisco Ibañez-Carrasco will deliver a Plenary talk. Dr. Ibañez-Carrasco’s mission is to inspire and connect. He is a Senior Research Associate at the Centre for Urban Health Solutions, St Michael’s Hospital, and currently leads the CIHR funded HIV Stigma Index in Canada. He has lived with HIV since 1986 and has worked in the HIV movement since 1989.

The conference is open to researchers, students, health authority employees, health care practicioners, patient partners, and community organizations.
