The Office of Research and Research Data Centre (RDC) have developed the RDC Research Award to support the development and implementation of research projects conducted in the RDC. The Statistics Canada Research Data Centre at UNBC is part of the British Columbia Inter-university Research Data Centre, supported by SSHRC, CIHR, and Statistics Canada, and partner universities through the Canadian Research Data Centre network. The RDC is a secure computer lab housed in the UNBC library, which facilitates access to Statistics Canada confidential microdata, including population, social, and health surveys, along with a variety of administrative databases. For information about the RDC at UNBC, see https://library.unbc.ca/collections/data-statistics/rdc.
Eligible researchers must complete the UNBC RDC Research Award application form and submit the form electronically to email@example.com, with UNBC RDC Research Award application in the subject heading. Please see the guidelines for more details.
Researchers planning to submit an application are encouraged to consult UNBC RDC staff, Larine Sluggett, at firstname.lastname@example.org, for assistance with identifying an appropriate dataset for the proposed research and for any other questions about the RDC working environment.
