EDUC 346 Introduction to Aboriginal Education Teacher-Candidates (TCs)
Aboriginal Culturally-Mindful Educational Displays
Room 103/104, 4837 Keith Ave, Terrace
Wednesday, November 1st, 2017
10:00 am – 11:30 am

The TCs are on assignment! “Take something you know about or love and "indigenize" it by approaching their topic in an aboriginal-culturally mindful way and share it with the wider community!”

You can expect to see many fun and inventive aboriginal culturally-mindful tabletop displays, designed for visitors to view, ask questions, and encourage the TCs in their learning!

The TCs will profile the guiding ‘Indigenous Pillars’ holding up and leading the movements in Aboriginal Education. These pillars include the Truth & Reconciliation Commission of Canada, United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, FNESC's First Peoples Principles of Learning, and the BC Teacher Regulation Branch Standards.

Due to limited physical space and timelines, the displays will have limited engagement opportunities. However, each one will be UNIQUE and INTERESTING!

Please come join us and encourage our future educators!
