UNBC welcomed the Class of 2018 to campus during its 25th Anniversary. Orientation day introduced the new students to their peers, campus services, and the significance of the milestone. 

• Orientation cohorts were named after UNBC founders and some of the university's first employees
• Cohort leaders even had the opportunity to hear meet founders to hear their stories of the university's early days, during a special flag making session.
• Many of the founders joined the cohorts to welcome them to UNBC, and participated in the Orientation barbeque
• New students were given bags with information sheets and UNBC25 swag to help them celebrate their first day on campus
• Live social media shout outs were projected so new students could share their first UNBC experiences with their peers
