UNBC's Prince George campus hosted the nation as the 2015 Canada Winter Games held their closing ceremonies in the Agora Courtyard. Hundreds of athletes, officials, spectators and entertainers filled the Courtyard for the first ever outdoor closing ceremony in the Games' history.

Once the agora was filled with a rainbow of colours - the red and white  of team Yukon, the neon yellow of Manitoba, volunteer green, the ceremony was underway featuring entertainment by:

  • Musical artist Jerusha White of Fort St James, BC
  • The Canada Games choir
  • Comedic actor Adam Harasimiuk of Prince George, BC
  • Musician Cody Karey of Fort St James, BC

The Canada Games flame was carried by Dominique Bozoki and Cecil Jael from the traditional Pit House at UNBC to  the beautiful cauldron at the top of the Agora's ceremonial steps.

UNBC's stunning buildings and location atop Cranbrook Hill, overlooking the City of Prince George, provided the perfect backdrop for a celebration marking the end of a memorable two weeks of sport, culture and community.
