SGU is making freezer-friendly apple desserts with a goal of processing 300 lbs of apples with zero waste. Volunteers can help at stations for washing, chopping, mixing, or making pie crusts and crisp toppings—no peeling required! Leftover scraps go to Tickled Pig Rescue. Each package will include apple filling, dough or topping, and a mini recipe book. Finished treats will be shared with volunteers, the UNBC Food Bank, the First Nations Centre, and offered by donation.
