The University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) invites applications for a sessional instructor position in the School of Education for the Spring 2024 semester. EDUC 401: Career Education

This course provides teacher candidates with an understanding of career education, career-life education, capstones and career-life connection. Topics include portfolio development and assessment using learner-centered features, financial and career literacy, interpersonal and intrapersonal skills, and acceptance of diversity (cultural, gender, intellectual and physical). Teacher candidates integrate theory and practice throughout the course to develop pedagogy and assessment practices.
 

Candidates with a master’s degree in education or in a related discipline with teaching experience at the postsecondary level are preferred.
 

This course is offered as part of the Regional BEd program and will be delivered Tuesday and Wednesday evenings in May – June 2024. The instructor can be situated at either the Terrace or Quesnel campus and will deliver the course to both campuses using video-conferencing technology. There is the opportunity for the instructor to travel to Prince George to deliver part of the course during the program’s intensive week in May.
