Risk Management

Our Mission
To provide a comprehensive risk management program that contributes to the health, safety and protection of employees, students and visitors, while also protecting the University's physical and financial resources.

Purpose
Risk management is the process of minimizing the adverse effects of accidental losses. This process is accomplished at the University through risk management programs that are implemented through collaborative efforts with departments within the University. To achieve effective implementation, all members of the University community have a responsibility to actively support the risk management programs, policies, and procedures.

Protecting University Assets
The University maintains various property and casualty insurance policies which provide liability coverage to certain employees in the performance of their duties. Coverage for third-party injuries and for property losses are also included.
