Supporting Innovation - CFI Infrastructure Projects at UNBC

The Canadian Foundation for Innovation (CFI)  and the British Columbia Knowledge Development Fund(BCKDF) have supported 20 infrastructure projects at UNBC to date. The CFI administers these projects through various infrastructure programs, some of which have changed over time in title or scope.

The CFI contributes up to 40% of the cost of a project, with the BCKDF contributing another 40%. Initiatives that are essential to research innovation at UNBC and to building capacity and cadres have benefited from CFI funding. Each infrastructure project has an identified principal investigator. Funding is, however, requested by and allocated to UNBC as host institution.

To find out more about the CFI and BCKDF funding opportunities and deadlines, please check the agency websites and refer any queries to the Research Services Manager.

Please follow the links for more information on the CFI and BCKDF supported infrastructure funds and facilities available to strengthen your research programs.
Contact these facilities to find out more and to integrate their capabilities and services into your research proposals, programs and funding applications.
