The
Canadian Foundation for Innovation (CFI) and the
British Columbia Knowledge Development Fund(BCKDF) have supported 20
infrastructure projects at UNBC to date. The CFI administers these projects
through various infrastructure programs, some of which have changed over time
in title or scope.
The CFI contributes up to 40% of the cost of a project, with
the BCKDF contributing another 40%. Initiatives that are essential to research
innovation at UNBC and to building capacity and cadres have benefited from CFI
funding. Each infrastructure project has an identified principal investigator.
Funding is, however, requested by and allocated to UNBC as host institution.
