Haida Gwaii
Haida Gwaii, sometimes known as the Queen Charlotte Islands, is the territory of Haida (now living in just two villages, Skidegate and Old Masset) and a number of other communitites are located there as well: Sandspit, Queen Charlotte City, Tlell, Port Clements and Masset. The Haida Gwaii Museum and Gwaii Hanaas ecological reserve at South Moresby draw many visitors, while others come to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the rainforest or the long ocean beaches. Haida Gwaii is served by School District 50, and a small NWCC learning centre as well as a Community Skills Centre that delivers technology-mediated courses and other forms of education.
