Welcome to the site dedicated to developing and updating our UNBC Plan. The document below represents a summary of the past five planning documents at UNBC since 1989. All of the text, including the summary on this page and the supporting documents are based on those documents.They are meant to serve as a basis to hold our discussions in the coming months.

MISSION 
 
To improve the quality of life in its region, the province, and beyond, by attaining the highest standards of undergraduate and graduate teaching, learning, and research. UNBC is committed to serving a vast region by building partnerships and by being innovative, resourceful, and responsive to student and community needs.

UNBC recognizes that the strength of the University is its people and that the most important measure of its success is the educational enrichment of its students. The University strives to offer all its students, staff and faculty, a healthy, safe, open, friendly, supportive, consultative and stimulating environment conducive to individual intellectual growth, personal fulfillment and career progress.
