While geography shapes the North, its people give it character. Northern BC is renowned for its friendliness and casual nature. The area is home to one of the largest concentrations of distinct First Nations groups in Canada, including Haida, Carrier, and Nisga’a. Aboriginal art and culture capture the essence of life in the North.
