Free Group Fitness Drop In Classes

 
FITNorth™ (Functional Integrated Training) is the Northern Sport Centre’s signature approach to group fitness and personal training. We believe that all our fitness programs and training services should work synergistically to create balanced fitness for you the client. You will develop your primary fitness components such as cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular capacity and range of motion, as well as your secondary components such as balance, agility and coordination.
The Northern Sport Centre FITNorth Pro-Team of personal trainers and fitness instructors, are certified by one or more of the following agencies: canfitpro, BCRPA, CFES and or CSEP as well as specialty certifications (e.g. zumba, bellyfit…).

All classes listed above are included with your Northern Sport Centre Membership. Please sign up at the reception desk thirty minutes prior to the class start time.
FITNorth Services which include; personal training, drop in fitness classes and registered programs will not be available on statutory holidays.

Class Descriptions

MIND & BODY
* Yoga Flow- Strengthen both your body and your mind through traditional poses and breathing exercises. The benefits of this class can include increased flexibility and stress reduction. No previous yoga experience is necessary! 
DANCE F.I.T.
* GROOVEFITNESS- GROOVE classes are dance/fitness class where you learn simple and easy choreography from a variety of different dance styles (Hip Hop, Urban, House, Jazz, Bollywood, Latin, African, Contemporary, Swing, Disco and many more!). The choreography is simple, so, you can dance the moves your own way! When you get a chance to move in a way that feels good for your body, you get a great workout that’s perfect for you. In Groove classes, you can’t get it wrong because it’s not about following-the-leader...it’s about you dancing for the health of it. Instructed by Lisa Cassidy
ULTRA F.I.T.
* F.I.T Camp- Northern Sport Centre’s signature Boot Camps. Take your fitness to a whole new level with this interval-based workout. No drill sergeants, but all the hard-core conditioning you can handle. Fall in line and get ready to work it! Train with cutting edge methods and equipment to create a new you. 
* Core F.I.T  - True Core training to create a balanced, strong and sculpted trunk. Using body weight, Bender balls, Glide discs, BOSU and Stability Balls  you will not only sculpt that 6 pack but strengthen your back and the rest of your trunk stabilizers.
CYCLE F.I.T.
*Crank 'n' Core F.I.T.-Get your heart pumping and your core popping in this high-octane combination class. You’ll start with 30 minutes of spinning, then change it up to focus on your core muscles.
*Cycle F.I.T. -This spin class will have you climbing hills, running single track, hitting challenging intervals and round it off with some sweet time trailing.
