Vincent Arockiasamy 
Academic Physician, Paediatrics
Vincent
was born and raised in southern India where he graduated from a premier medical school, St
John's Medical College, Bangalore.
Subsequently he completed his residency in paediatrics at the same
institution. Following his residency, he worked in the medically
underserved areas of India for seven years. He moved to Ireland in 1998
and competed a residency and senior registratship in
paediatrics. He was successful at the examination of the Royal College
of the Physicians of Ireland and was awarded the Membership of the
College (MRCPI) in paediatrics. Dr Arockiasamy came to Canada with his family in
2004 and competed a Fellowship in Neonatology at BC
Children's Hospital in Vancouver. He relocated to Prince Geroge in
November 2006 and is currently Clinical Assistant Professor in
Paediatrics at UBC. Additionally, he is the Academic Physician for
Paediatrics with the Northern Medical Program, the Discipline Specific
Site Leader, Paeditarics UBC and attending staff paediatrican at
Prince George Regional Hospital. He has been involved in the teaching
of medical students and residents for many years.
