Northern Medical Program
|
The Northern Medical Program is part of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia. Along with the Island Medical Program at the University of Victoria and the Southern Medical Program at UBCO in Kelowna, BC (which will be accepting students in January 2012), this distributed medical program was the first of its kind in North America and has proven to be a highly successful model of distributed education. Through UBC's Admissions Office, thirty-two medical students are welcomed into the NMP every year and arrive at the beautiful University of Northern British Columbia campus each January. |

NMP Successes

Congratulations to local physician and NMP Clinical Skills Course Director, Dr Steven Chang, who was recently awarded the "Certificate of Recognition" from Rotary International for his efforts on behalf of providing international healthcare.
Eight of the thirty-two (25%) of the most recently admitted NMP students, the Class of 2014, are graduates of UNBC.
