This "citizens' guide" is a plain language summary of the Royal Society of Canada's Report of the Expert Panel on Science Issues Related to Oil and Gas Activities, Offshore British Columbia. It is designed to help local citizens' better understand the often complex science issues explored by the Royal Society's expert panel in its investigation of the offshore oil and gas question. The panel's review was conducted at the request of the federal government, as part of the government's review of its moratorium preventing offshore oil and gas activity.
