UNBC Password - Change to minimum password length
This is a notice of change regarding password length requirements for UNBC IT systems.
- The minimum length for new passwords is 10 characters
- Passwords can by changed by visiting http://www.unbc.ca/its and selecting the Password Reset link
- More information on the new password requirements can be found at http://www.unbc.ca/information-technology-services/passwords
The reason for this change is to ensure that UNBC users' passwords are long enough to resist attempts to compromise our services via password guessing attacks that have become commonplace on the Internet.
