Yvan Prkachin, a History Graduate in 2006, successfully defended his thesis for his Master's degree in History from Guelph University. Yvan's thesis, "'The Chemophilic Society': Addiction Research after the Classic Period of Narcotic Control, 1957-1975," continued his research into drug regulation in Canada. He has been approached to publish the data by Nancy Campbell who just published a book on his topic. Yvan plans to take a year off and has been debating applying to the Harvard Institute for the History of Science to work with Dr. Anne Harrington, whose work, according to Yvan "is right up his alley".
