Every gift makes a difference! As a supporter of UNBC, you will be recognized publicly through your membership in one of several special gift recognition circles, unless you request to be anonymous. Membership in each circle depends on the value of the donation.
All donors will receive a thank you letter, charitable tax receipt, and free subscription to the university's UPDATE magazine. Additional benefits based on level of giving are listed below.
UNBC Annual Recognition is based on the total gifts, pledge payments, and matching gifts received in a single fiscal year (April 1 to March 31). Couples are recognized for the combined total of your contributions.
Green & Gold Circle ($5 to $999)
The Green & Gold Circle is named for the university’s official colours, showing your pride by offering your support. As a member of this circle, your name will be added to our Donor Roll.
Williston Circle ($1,000 and over)
The Williston Circle is named after Ray Williston, now deceased, who was a visionary for Northern BC and one of the great champions of UNBC and advanced education opportunities for our youth. As a member of this circle, your name will be added to the Donor Roll and you will be invited to attend our Donor Appreciation event.
UNBC Cumulative Recognition is based on your cumulative lifetime giving to the university including total gifts, pledge payments, and matching gifts. Couples are recognized for the combined total of your contributions.

Planned Giving Recognition
Naming UNBC as a beneficiary in your Will or making a donation of life insurance is a wonderful way to show your commitment to the future of this university and make a meaningful and lasting gift to UNBC.
When you tell us of your planned commitment to UNBC, your name will be added to our Donor Roll and your name will be printed on our Donor Wall located in the Bentley Centre at the Prince George campus.
Please seek professional advice to learn all your planned giving options.
Donors may elect not to participate in our recognition program. In such cases, your gift will be considered "anonymous" for public purposes and your name will not be included in any of the donor lists described above.
You (and/or your designate) will still receive a charitable tax receipt, subscription to Update magazine, and, if applicable, statements of activity for endowed funds.
