Join us in the mountain and desert landscapes of the southwestern US, where we will explore the incredible geological and geomorphological formations of Death Valley and Owens Valley, collect and analyse ground-based and airborne data, and learn about water resources in this arid region. This field school is for UNBC undergraduate and graduate students as well as students outside our university. We will facilitate non-UNBC student participation via Skype/BlueJeans before our departure.

• Where: UNBC – Prince George Campus & Basin and Range region (eastern California, Arizona, Nevada and southern Utah)
• When: 1-4 May 2018 (Prince George) and 6-15 May 2018 (southwestern US)
• Who: 3rd and 4th year undergraduates in Physical Geography, Environmental Science and Engineering or Natural Resources Management students interested in geology and geomorphology, and geospatial datasets, developing field skills and experiential learning. Graduate students in Physical Geography, Environmental Science and Engineering and related disciplines
• How: students are responsible for their travel to and from Las Vegas, NV. Food, accommodation, and transportation will be organized by the instructors and covered by course fees
• How much: Tuition fees + travel to/from Las Vegas + course fees ($1100)
