SPOR Can-SOLVE CKD and Diabetes Action Canada Networks will be jointly hosting a webinar focusing on the historical context for Indigenous Health in Canada. The webinar will be presented by Dr. Malcolm King and Dr. Jon McGavock. Registration is free and open to anyone.

The Webinar will cover:

  • Who are the Indigenous peoples of Canada?
  • How did we get to the health disparities that already exist?
  • What are Indigenous determinants of health?
  • What are the ethical principles of engagement with Indigenous peoples and resource communities?
  • What impact will the Truth and Reconciliation Commission have on Indigenous health?
