Special Panel with UNBC 2017 Honorary Degree Recipient Fredy Peccerelli

Mr. Fredy Peccerelli, world-renowned forensic expert, will speak on the work of the Guatemalan Forensic Anthropology Team (FAFG) and the search for the disappeared in a context of impunity and seeking justice.

Three panelists will join him to discuss the role of the search for truth/memory/justice in their own work and in the communities with whom they work.

Join us for this discussion on the commonalities shared by families—searching for truth—in both Canada and Guatemala. The panel will include Terry Teegee, UNBC alumnus & Carrier Sekani Tribal Chief; Dr. Antonia Mills, UNBC Professor Emeritus; Erica Henderson, UNBC alumna & FAFG Technical Sustainability Assistant.  Moderated by Dr. Catherine Nolin, UNBC Geography (Associate Professor & Chair).
