Tyner Boulevard Closure

Date:
Friday, August 14, 2015 - 7:00am to Friday, August 21, 2015 - 6:00pm
Location:
Tyner Boulevard
Campus:
Prince George

Tyner Boulevard will be closed to traffic in both directions between the University Heights and UNBC from Aug. 14 to Aug. 21 due to paving work done by the City of Prince George. The completion date of the paving project is weather dependent.

For drivers: Please access UNBC via University Way.

For cyclists/pedestrians: The Tyner Trail will be open to cyclists and pedestrians during the duration of the road work.

For public transit users: Route 16 will not be running between UNBC and College Heights for the duration of the construction.

To access the University on Prince George transit from College Heights riders will need to take Route 89 to the Nicholson Exchange and transfer to a Route 15.

To go from UNBC to College Heights during the construction riders will need to take a Route 15 to the Nicholson Exchange and transfer to a Route 88.

Prince George Transit advises riders to plan to add half an hour to their trip between UNBC and College Heights during the week and 90 minutes on the weekend.

The Route 16 will continue to service Lower College Heights, but will stop near the intersection of McGill Crescent and Domano Boulevard (in front of the McDonald’s) and turn around. It will pick up passengers headed into College Heights near the same intersection on the other side of Domano Boulevard in front of the Starbucks.
