OHS 9 - Emergency Preparedness & Response

In this module, learners will be able to identify emergency situations and assess appropriate Emergency Preparedness and Responses (ERP). Participants will learn how to evaluate issues that arise prior to, during, and immediately following an emergency, as well as any long-range recovery challenges. Learners will discuss the development of an emergency response team and its implications. The course content will focus on the reduction of the effects of disasters through established and proven workplace emergency plans, procedures, and training and community and government disaster services that are available.

Course materials for each module will be provided in a downloadable, digital format. Students will be provided a web link and access information for their program after they have registered and paid. Furthermore, they may or may not be required to print these documents and bring them to class. It is recommended that students use a laptop to view the course materials during class.
