Rob van Adrichem
Vice President of External Relations
Rob van Adrichem is the Vice-President External Relations at UNBC, overseeing relationships that the University enjoys with donors, the media, alumni, government officials, and the general public. Rob is a founding UNBC employee and has been with the University since 1992, two years before UNBC opened with full operations. He completed two degrees while working full-time, including a master’s degree in which he focused on issues of northern development in a knowledge-based economy.
Rob is a champion of UNBC’s efforts to become a leader in environmental sustainability: he formed the University’s first green committee, advocated for the establishment of a bioenergy program, and trademarked Canada’s Green University for UNBC. He was also appointed by the Premier in 2008 to a provincial citizen’s council on climate action.
Rob was born and raised in Prince George. He is married to Deborah and they have two children: Elise and Matthew.

Alyson Gourley-Cramer
Manager of Communications and Media Relations
Alyson hails from the East—born in Montreal and raised in Corner Brook, NL. She completed her undergraduate degree at Acadia University with a double major in Art History and English.
Tree planting for brought her “out West” where she stayed to attend the University of Victoria as a visiting student. Following that, Alyson got her B.Ed. At Simon Fraser University and a Master’s degree in Applied Communications (now Professional Communication) at Royal Roads University.
Alyson just ended her three-year term as President of the local chapter of Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS). Before that, she was Professional Development Chair for the chapter, winning national awards for both membership increase and educational programming.
