Research Participation Pool

This webpage is intended to serve as a communication and information tool for Researchers who are using the Subject Pool and for students who participate.
One of the key factors influencing both the national and international reputation of a university is the academic research that it produces.  In addition, research participation provides opportunities to familiarize students with research conducted in the School of Business as well as expose them to additional business concepts beyond those covered in classes.
For this reason, the School of Business strongly encourages each student in the Commerce Program to participate in research studies.  Throughout the term, a couple of studies will be made available to students.  All studies in the Research Participation Pool of the School of Business must have prior approval by the appropriate Research Ethics Board at UNBC.  The descriptions for approved research studies will be posted here.

Students who wish to participate and earn cash and/or extra participation grades for Commerce courses you may wish to check the upcoming survey schedule which will be posted below.  If you have any comments or questions about the operation of the Research Participation Pool please direct them to Dr. Sungchul Choi, Coordinator of the Research Participation Pool for the School of Business.

Courses for Bonus Participation Marks (Fall 2012)

Students will be asked to enter the course and section that you would like the extra credit assigned to when you initially sign-up for a survey. You shall not switch this assignment to a different course. The following courses are involved in the participation pool in the 2012 Fall semester.  If your class is not listed here, you don't get the extra participation mark but you are still eligible to get prizes if any.
