Who are the Chaplains?

Most of our chaplains volunteer at the University two hours a week during regular terms and have full-time positions in local church bodies.  During the Spring term they offer a shorter set of regular hours on campus Monday to Thursday. The Chapel Space has no regular hours during the summer.

All of our chaplains are appointed by local organizations and faith communities, go through a training process, and work closely with UNBC Student Services.

Alan van der Woerd serves as a full-time chaplain at UNBC through the generosity of the Christian Reformed Church in North America.

He will be happy to help you connect with faith groups or address your concerns and questions as best he can.
