Loralyn has been involved with the UNBC women’s program since 1997 and was instrumental in its early development.  She has a Physical Education Degree from the University of Alberta and a Master’s Degree from the University of Victoria.  Loralyn attended the National Coaching Institute in 2005-06 and had the priviledge of being mentored by Ken Shields.  Her basketball career includes playing 2 years for Grande Prairie Regional College, 2 years for the University of Alberta, and 3 years coaching experience with the College of New Caledonia. Loralyn is also the head women's coach for the Northern Regional Training Centre.
