It was a record-setting year for the UNBC women’s basketball team marked by their best-ever record in the regular season and the first time a UNBC student-athlete has won provincial player of the year. Christine Kennedy of Prince George picked up that award after transferring to her home school this year after playing for McGill University in Montreal. Christine was also a 1st Team BCCAA All-Star and was joined by team-mates Kady Dandeneau (2nd Team All-Star and team leading scorer) and Mercedes Vankoughnett (BCCAA Rookie Team).
