The Alumni Association of UNBC invites you to attend our Annual Alumni Awards Reception, which recognizes alumni who have made outstanding contributions to their alma mater, their professions and their communities. This reception will also acknowledge the 2012 Honorary Degree recipients, Valedictorians, and Governor General Medal recipients.

UNBC Grad Receives 2012 BC Community Achievement Award

Virginia Rusell, BSC Psychology '09 and MSc Community Health Science '11, is a Metis woman who grew up in Terrace and has long been dedicated to social justice, indigenous health, and women's issues in northern BC. In 2011, she received UNBC's New Alumni of the Year award.

 

On April 25th, 2012 Virginia was among thirty-six British Columbians who where honoured at the ninth annual BC Community Achievement Awards Ceremony held at Government House in Victoria.
